Bingo "Boosts the Brain" Health Media Ltd - July 11, 2002 Researchers from the University of Southampton's Centre for Visual Cognition say playing bingo can keep the mind in trim and that older players may be the most "agile". Tests show that bingoists are faster and more accurate than non-players in a range of tests measuring mental speed, memory and the ability to pick up information from the environment around them. The findings were presented to the Annual Conference of the Psychologists Special Interest Group in Older People at Winchester, in Hampshire.
